About the role
As a Government Information Specialist at the full performance level GS-12, you will: Evaluate how information in identifiable form is collected, stored, protected, shared, and managed to ensure collection complies with legal, regulatory, and policy requirements. Design agency official forms for information collection, using approved technologies. Provide expertise and guidance to organizations to comply with the Paperwork Reduction Act and agency policy requirements related to information collections. Develop, revise, and deliver training course content to agency staff. Identify applicable guidelines and requirements and evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls to ensure that personally identifiable information is properly managed and secured. Formulate, develop, and implement privacy and information collection policy and guidelines to ensure best practices.
