About the role
Joining Customs & Border Protection (CBP) will allow you to utilize your expertise serving as a senior consultant and advisor on employee relations matters, requiring mastery of advanced human resources principles, concepts, and practices. This position starts at a salary of $125,776.00 (GS-14, Step 1) to $163,514.00 (GS-14, Step 10). Typical duties include: Managing the intake of disciplinary cases, reviewing documentation for completeness and accuracy, and assigning cases to reviewers. Maintaining a detailed tracking system, preparing reports for management, and recommending process improvements to optimize workflow and case management. Serving as a senior consultant to management and supervisors on complex employee relations issues, interpreting and applying laws and policies, reviewing investigations, and recommending disciplinary actions.
