About the role
Specific duties include, but are not limited to: Serving as a technical expert for performance and program audits that focus on matters of law enforcement including but not limited to: drug trafficking, violent crime, white collar crime, and corrections and detentions. For example, exhibits mastery of law enforcement criteria; directs audits that require an integrated analysis of intricate and complex programs, operations, and strategies related to the Department's law enforcement-related activities; and builds consensus in messaging law enforcement-related oversight results. Developing individual audit programs and plans for Department organizations, including functional responsibilities, specific project assignments, audit objectives and requirements, references, formats for data display and reports, and special instructions covering contingencies. Provides opinions on the efficiency and effectiveness of program operations. Follows-up on audit recommendations and corrective actions.
