About the role

Responsible for managing the day-to-day support operations of the Veterinary Treatment Facility (VTF) to include supervision of staff, upkeep of the facility, maintenance and replacement of equipment, safety and security training and management. Performs complicated technical procedures involving diagnostic imaging, surgery, medicine, critical or general care, or any combination of veterinary support work in support of the VTF. Communicates assignments, projects, problems to be solved, actionable events, milestones, and/or program issues under review, and deadlines and time frames for completion. Identifies, distributes and balances workload and tasks among employees in accordance with established work flow and specialization. Instructs personnel on the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting issues of diagnostic and patient monitoring equipment for purposes of maintaining clinical readiness of VMO, technical staff, and military working animals.
