CONTRACT SPECIALIST

You will provide assistance to technical specialists of the requesting program/project office in the preparation/development of contractually acceptable specifications, work statements, and quality assurance criteria. You will analyze the effects of industrial developments, seasonal price trends, and economic factors affecting supply and materials, transportation costs, and availability of storage facilities on agency requirements. You will determine the need for clauses to cover special conditions, such as inspection and acceptance, liquidated damages and government furnished equipment/property. You will investigate the adequacy and soundness of the firm’s credit and financial position to guaranteed loans to establish the contractor’s financial capability to successfully perform the contract requirements. You will determine appropriateness and reasonableness of proposed labor, material, overhead rates, escalation rates, and profit by utilizing audits and other available sources, inclu
