Staff Data Scientist, Finance Analytics

About the role We’re looking for a Staff Data Analyst to become Chime’s dedicated analytics partner to Strategic Finance on the Spending portfolio — debit, Credit Builder, Chime Card and Single Balance, Chime Deals, Spending Insights, and Checkbooks. Finance’s demand for spending data has outgrown an ad hoc, request-by-request model, and this role exists to fix that: building the roadmap, tooling, and semantic layer that let Finance answer its own questions, and designing the AI-assisted workflows that make that data usable at scale. You’ll retain fluency in Spending’s products and experimentation, but Strategic Finance — not Product — is the primary partner. This is a strategic, area-level role. You’ll work on ambiguous problems — deciding what Finance actually needs, building durable infrastructure instead of one-off pulls, and reframing requests when the initial ask isn’t the real question — while mentoring other analysts along the wa
