About the role
Major Duties include, but are not limited to: Utilizes VSSC, Pyramid Analytics and other applications to perform sophisticated data analysis, including extracting data from internal and external databases, analyzing and interpreting complex data using basic statistical models, and designing and preparing user friendly reports. Serves as a resource to executive leadership for creating modules that have a service-wide impact on improving and streamlining processes in clinical and administrative services. Conducts independent research to develop an in-depth understanding of VA databases and data sources. With general supervisory guidance, independently gathers, develops, and interprets data from available information systems, including Vista, VHA Support Service Center (VSSC), Allocation Resources Center (ARC), EDIS, BMS, DHCP, DSS and VA Performance Measures Systems and Strategic Analytics for Improvement and Learning (SAIL).
