About the role
As a Accountant (Tax), at the full performance level, you will perform the following duties: Communicate with colleagues, agency management, and other contacts outside of the agency to gather, analyze, and compile data to provide financial services. Provide financial analysis and advice regarding accounting programs and financial systems to management. Assist in maintaining and improving business processes, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and compliance with guidelines. Apply Internal Revenue Code, GSA, and DHS/ICE policies and regulations to Federal Travel Regulations (FTR), Joint Travel Regulations (JTR), and Department of State Standard Regulations (DSSR). Maintain and interpret legislative materials and ensure compliance with new or revised laws.
