Occupational Therapist (Clinical Specialist) - Seating and Mobility

Duties of the Seating and Mobility Occupational Therapist may include, but are not limited to: Coordinates, develops or over-sees the development of the Power and Mobility Clinic for all patients referred to Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Service (PM&RS) Wheelchair Clinic. Serves as a resource to co-workers in area of specialization. Performs clinical, consultative, teaching and research functions related to assigned team according to principles of cooperative team organization and administration. Independently makes decisions regarding patient care and the prescribing of devices needed for seating and mobility of patients with spinal cord injury. Serves as a point of contact for the Seating and Mobility Clinic for this facility, throughout the VISN, and to Veterans Medical Facilities throughout the nation. Serves as the Seating and Mobility subject matter expert and consultant for PM&RS and other medical center staff. In this role, incumbent offers expertise in evaluating and tr
