Senior Contracting Officer

Conducts market research for the development of new or expansion of existing programs and potential markets. Facilitates the connection between customer requirements and GSA Global Supply product offerings. As an effective broker, maintains cognizance over all supply programs and recommends adjustments in operations to take advantage of, or to counteract, changing economic and political conditions, adjustments and developments in the industries and marketplace, and customer requirements. Anticipates customer needs and convinces FAS to develop strategies to address the changing markets. Operates as a senior acquisition executive for the FAS service responsible for the analysis and evaluation of contracting policies and practices, and the initiation, development and recommendation of contracting policies, procedures and guidance impacting a large number of contract specialists and contracting organizations.
