About the role
This position serves as the Chief of Interpretation and Education for Everglades and Dry Tortugas National Parks. In this capacity the incumbent is responsible for supervising, planning, coordinating and managing all aspects of the organization's program, policies and activities to both internal and external audiences. This position specifically oversees all aspects of interpretation, education, partnerships, community engagement programs, park-wide volunteer program, and associated functions, operations, and facilities. This includes assistance and expertise regarding programs conducted by the park's concessionaires, park partners, and entities in neighboring communities. The incumbent serves as a core member of the Park Leadership Team who collectively manage two parks across more than 1.5 million acres of land and water. Everglades and Dry Tortugas are part of the South Florida National Parks and Preserve- a unified organizational structure.
