Job Description UW Medical Center-Montlake Environmental Services has an opportunity for Day Hospital Custodian. WORK SCHEDULE 100% FTE (40 hours per week), Day shift 7:30am-4:00pm - Rotating every other weekend POSITION HIGHTLIGHTS Maintaining cleanliness and care of facilities in inpatient and non-patient areas and administrative offices as assigned PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Cleans and disinfects all furniture, fixtures, and equipment according to procedure Removes and properly handles soiled linen; disinfects and remakes beds in patient rooms; dust and wet mops hard floors with disinfectant Performs bloodborne pathogen and chemical spill containment and clean-up according to procedure Strips, cleans, buffs, and applies finish to floors. Uses high speed floor buffers, polishers, and automated floors scrubbers Performs in between case cleaning and terminal cleaning of surgical, obstetrical, and invasive procedure rooms including flood mopping and disinfecting according
