About the role
Duties include but not limited to: The Specialty Care Outpatient Cardiac Clinic Staff Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible and accountable for individual nursing practice and determines the appropriate delegation of tasks consistent with the nurse's obligation to provide optimal cardiac care. This nurse provides patient care, care coordination, health promotion, health education and coaching on wellness, disease prevention, and chronic care management. Ability to formulate a plan of care based on nursing assessments and Veteran goals of care. Seeks guidance on how to improve care provided to patients and families. Delegates elements of care to the appropriate individual based upon assessed needs, condition, and safety of the patient. Documenting all encounters accurately in electronic medical records and adhering to safety protocols.
