The purpose of the position is to provide administrative and clerical support to relieve the manager's workload and ensure the smooth operation of the immediate office and an extensive subordinate organization. This position starts at a salary of $62,640.00 (GS-9, Step 1) to $81,436.00 (GS-9, Step 10) Major duties for this position include: Relieving the manager of unnecessary interruptions and demands on his/her time by handling administrative matters and programmatic problems or referring technical matters to the appropriate individual(s).
