ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: The Senior GEOINT Authority (SGA) for GEOMATICS serves as the National System for Geospatial Intelligence (NSG) principal advisor and GEOINT Functional Manager's personal advisor on all aspects of GEOMATICS, a discipline which integrates acquisition, modeling, analysis, and management of spatially referenced data. GEOMATICS is based on the scientific framework of geodesy, geophysics, photogrammetry, elevation, and bathymetry. GEOMATICS uses terrestrial, marine, airborne, and satellite-based sensors to acquire spatial and other data, including the process of transforming spatially referenced data from different sources into common information systems with well-defined accuracy characteristics.
