Director, Accounting & Finance

ASSIGNMENT DESCRIPTION: The Director, Accounting and Finance, in the Office of the Chief Financial Executive (FM), serves as the principal authority in the areas of accounting and financial operations, and leads the agency's accounts payable and receivable, accounts reconciliation, property accounting, and general ledger accounting. The Director, Accounting and Finance, leads the payment, processing, and reconciliation of NGA's multi-billion-dollar transactions for all accounts, including government contracts and intra-agency transactions. The Director, Accounting and Finance, interacts directly with senior officers across the federal government. This is a highly visible and challenging position that often engages on behalf of the Comptroller on the resolution of highly complex, controversial, or precedent setting matters.
