About the role
DUTY 1: Plans, organizes, and directs logistics planning and programming support for identified systems/programs. This includes the development, review, validation, and substantiation of current and long-range logistics requirements to support worldwide mission objectives. Develops, coordinates, and issues comprehensive guidance and procedures to be used by subordinate commands, OSD, Joint Staff, and field activities in the integration and execution of budget/buy/modification/maintenance support for these systems/programs and logistical capabilities. DUTY 2: Plans and conducts studies and develops input for logistics policies and procedural systems applied throughout the Air Force and DoW. Develops logistics guidance and criteria for timely and cost-effective life cycle support and implementation.
