Maintenance Mechanic Supervisor (Operations Group Foreman)

The incumbent has a leadership role in providing management, guidance, and coordination for the repair, maintenance and oversight of Industrial Equipment Mechanic Unit assigned projects. Has full supervisory authority over permanent, contract and staff assigned to the Industrial Equipment Mechanic Unit. Works collaboratively with other facility departments to manage the repair, maintenance or replacement of any mechanical system required to support VHALBHS clinical and administrative operations. Duties include but are not limited to: Carpentry (20%) The journeyman level carpentry skills required as a maintenance mechanic will include sheet rocking, installing metal grids, suspended ceilings, installation of plaster lath, replacement of built-up and shingle roofing, installation of metal/wood windows, doors and frames, floor and ceiling tile, and repair wood flooring.
