About the role
The major duties of the Park Ranger (Events Compliance Monitor) position include, but are not limited to, the following: Provide technical assistance and customer service to permits applicants, contractors, and the public by explaining special use regulations, guiding them through application procedures, and resolving routine inquiries or concerns. Review and process special use permits application, draft permit conditions, and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure permitted activities comply with park policies, safety standards, and resource protection requirements. Monitor permitted events through site inspections and field presence to ensure compliance with permit terms, safety protocols, and environmental standards, document findings through written reports, and recommend corrective actions when necessary.
