About the role

The duties and responsibilities for a Paralegal Specialist GS-0950-11 generally include, but are not limited to, the following: 1) Reviews documents for responsiveness to FOIA requests and suggests appropriate redactions and drafts appropriate responses; 2) Selects, assembles, summarizes and compiles substantive information concerning statues, regulations, digests, commentaries, legal instruments, and other legal reference material; 3) Prepares for all phases of administrative litigation, including development of the record of investigation, witness interviews, agency filings, and hearings, using electronic databases and other electronic means; 4) Researches and prepares memoranda on legal issues related to the diverse portfolio of OGC; 5) Prepares files for administrative litigation before the EEOC, MSPB, and the GAO; and 6) Drafts basic decisions in response to referrals on suspension and debarment.
