Recreation Aid

The purpose of this position is to support the day to day operation of the fitness center. Serves as the desk attendant ensuring only authorized patrons use the facility and equipment and adhere to fitness center policy. Greets visitors, answers telephones, and makes reservations for classes or use of equipment and facilities. Provides information on scheduled events and classes. Provides assistance and basic instruction to patrons in the proper use of exercise machines and equipment. Circulates among patrons to ensure customer satisfaction and safe and proper use of equipment. Issues sports equipment and completes required documentation for transaction. Inspects returned equipment noting damages. Inspects all equipment and facilities according to established standards and local fire and safety procedures. Reports damaged exercise equipment to supervisor. Performs opening and closing procedures of facilities IA W written guidelines. Performs minor repairs, adjustments and regular clean
