Cemetery Caretaker Supervisor

The Cemetery Caretaker Supervisor serves as a supervisor of the Interment and Headstones Section, providing overall direction of interment and headstones operations. Collaborate with the Midwest District staff to ensure timeliness marking of all gravesites, receiving, of all markers and niches, recording and placement of all damaged markers, and operation of equipment throughout the cemetery. Complete daily inspections of markers and niches as well as all equipment utilized for cemetery operations. Ensure subordinate staff and contractors inspect and accurately place markers. Work schedule: May be required to work Monday through Friday to include occasional weekends. Due to the mission of the National Cemetery, the cemetery cannot be closed for more than 2 consecutive days at any given time. Additionally, when a Federal holiday falls on a Monday or Friday, staff may be required to work on that holiday or a Saturday. All staff is required to work Memorial Day each year. Staff will be re
