About the role
Analyzes facility needs with parks, develops project need statements and justifications, and identifies potential funding sources. Prepares basic project outlines and preliminary cost estimates to support project scoping and funding prioritization. Develops detailed project narratives and cost estimates; maintains proficiency with NPS facility and project management systems. Participates in the Division's project-tracking processes to provide timely project-status information to management. Verifies project requirements, validates funding-request information, and prepares pre-design documentation following NPS standards. Reviews compliance, sustainability, and code requirements using the NPS Quality Assurance Checklist. Assists in developing schematic design alternatives, prepares Class C estimates, and supports EA/EIS environmental compliance activities.
