Training Instructor (Nurse)

Serves as a team member to the Practical Nurse Branch and Department of Clinical Specialties. Participates in the development, implementation and evaluation of continuing education programs offered through the MEDCoE. Assists in the education and development of the faculty at the Practical Nurse Course and Department of Clinical Specialties by providing in-services on nursing, health care, and education. Oversees, counsels and evaluates didactic and practical exercise student performance based on written tests, individual research and independent study, oral presentations and direct clinical(practical exercise) observation. Utilizes approved academic system of record to monitor, record, and manage functions related to student information, personal management, student grades, records, and testing. Assists with peer review of instructors and evaluates instructors from a variety of health-related disciplines which includes Anatomy and Physiology, Pharmacology, Microbiology, and Nutrition.
