Deputy Assistant Inspector General for Investigations (Headquarters Operations)

Serves as an alter ego for the AIGI directing the development or modification of planning, coordination, and control of investigative activities, intelligence efforts, and digital forensics examinations and analysis related to criminal fraud, white-collar crimes, abuse of public trust, and employee integrity and misconduct. Organizes and manages the headquarters' divisions to align with program needs and the Inspector General's priorities and initiatives. Exercises authority to examine all SSA programs and to initiate investigations. Develops plans for investigations led by headquarters' divisions, including resource requirements; manages the full scope of investigations led by headquarters' divisions, including program evaluation; and presents accomplishments and recommendations based on valid and meaningful reporting criteria to the Inspector General, the Commissioner of Social Security, and Congress.
