About the role
As a Deputy Director (EEO), GS-0905-15, your typical work assignments may include: Leading, directing, and evaluating the Agency's Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Program, including identifying systemic barriers, developing Agency-wide EEO strategies, recommending corrective actions, and ensuring compliance with Federal civil rights laws, EEOC regulations, and management directives. Providing expert legal advice and supervision regarding EEO complaint processing, investigations, settlement negotiations, final agency decisions, and regulatory compliance matters arising under Federal EEO laws and EEOC regulations and management directives. Planning, organizing, directing, and evaluating the work of OEEO staff and collateral duty EEO personnel, including providing technical guidance, reviewing work products, ensuring regulatory compliance, planning and directing Agency observance events as part of the Agency's affirmative employment program, and overseeing day-to-day office operations
