About the role
As a FUEL DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM WORKER, WG-5413-10, you will receive, store, transfer, and distribute bulk petroleum products and provides oversight to lower-graded employees. Validates documentation and fuel received from incoming shipments for proper identification of fuel and examines cargo for proper seals, safety regulations, and environment control systems. Connects grounding wire and hoses and activates pumps, valves, and gages during pumping operation. Takes temperature reading, determine American Petroleum Institute (API) gravity and converts volumes of fuel at standard temperature. Ensures gage, scale, and/or meter readings, amounts of fuel received and issued, and fuel invoices are kept on file. Reports any defects, shortages, or overage in shipments to the supervisor.
