Supervisory Security Specialist (Direct Hire)

Supervises a team of personnel security specialists exercising full supervisory authorities including work planning/assignments, coaching, discipline, and performance appraisal. Plans, assigns, and evaluates the work of personnel security staff, ensuring timely and accurate completion of background investigations and adjudications. Provides guidance, coaching, and performance feedback to team members; conducts performance appraisals and recommends personnel actions (hiring, promotions, disciplinary actions). Establishes priorities, manages workload distribution, and ensures compliance with deadlines. Oversees the end-to-end personnel security process, including background investigations, adjudications, and continuous vetting. Ensures compliance with federal regulations, policies, and guidelines (e.g., Executive Orders, OPM, ODNI, DoW, or agency-specific directives).
