About the role
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY As a Supervisory Accountant, you will use your knowledge and experience to optimize business results and customer experience by: Planning, organizing, and overseeing the activities of the Travel, IPAC, and International Payment Branch. Serving as CDC/ATSDR Payments Certifying Officer, and as such is the final decision maker and subject matter expert on all technical payment, travel, and accounting related issues and processes; ensuring that appropriate internal controls are present in payment systems and processes; and that payments conform to generally accepted governmental accounting policies and procedures, appropriation laws, and travel regulations. Establishing review systems for the organization that make certain government needs are met and validated, and that economy and quality of operations are maintained or improved.
