About the role
The successful candidate will perform the full range of a project management duties. The selectee will also have the opportunity to plan, coordinate, direct, and lead major projects for development of regulations, policies, requirements, and guidance for fuel cycle facilities, materials safety, security, and protection of the environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing projects and resolving complex, critical, or controversial program policy and licensing issues. Project managers in this position also coordinate with State and local governments and Federal partners on issues related to the safety and security of NRC licensees. They may lead reviews of controversial matters related to licensing and oversight of nuclear facilities. They will rely on the management directives, office instructions, rules, regulations, and procedures in carrying out assigned duties.
