Summary: The primary purpose of this position is: To provide comprehensive, professional nursing clinical prevention services (primary, secondary and tertiary) to high-risk maternal-child families to prevent child and partner abuse, in support of the Family Advocacy Program (FAP). As the Family Advocacy Nurse (FAN) designs, develops, maintains, implements and evaluates the New Parent Support Program (NPSP) component of FAP. Serves as the installation NPSP subject matter expert (SME), providing consultation to installation leadership and medical professionals regarding needs assessment, determining prevention requirements, and developing implementation strategies for the prenatal and birth to three-year-old target population. Performs risk screening, clinical assessments, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing interventions, case management, and multi-disciplinary team consultations to prevent and treat child and spouse/intimate partner abuse, serving beneficiaries located
