Supervisory Immigration Services Officer

Organizational Location: This position is located in the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, within USCIS Vetting Center and are assigned based on the need of the agency. Provide technical and administrative direction to a staff of Immigration Services Officers and support positions whose work includes customer service and the adjudication of applications and petitions. Monitor and evaluate work of support positions as well as mentor and facilitate employee development to ensure quality production and to improve the efficiency of operations. Develop new ways to resolve problems in meeting established goals and objectives for program effectiveness and compliance with pertinent and regulatory guidelines Make adjudicative decisions, draw appropriate conclusions for cases involving novel or unprecedented issues using expert knowledge of the Immigration and Nationality Act and Administrative Appeals Office and Board of Immigration Appeals decisions.
