About the role
As a Recreation Fee Technician, you will perform the following duties: Answers visitor questions and explains the area's recreational opportunities, including NPS interpretive services, concession operated facilities and services, campground availability, hiking trails, etc. Assists with auditing fee collection program components/systems (e.g. cash registers, road/trail registers, honor systems, automated fee machines or AFMs, donation boxes, etc.). Assists in completing audit paperwork and documenting findings. Prepares and completes remittance reports and bank deposits for funds donated and/or collected by others. Reviews shift reports and count funds collected. Investigates and resolves routine or recurring discrepancies, and track overages, shortages, and errors. Inventories and/or restocks fee program supplies and assists with placing orders and preparing requisition requests for equipment/supplies as needed.
