Physical Scientist, AST, Science Program Management (Direct Hire)

Duties described below are at the highest grade advertised. Duties assigned at lower grade levels will be of more limited scope, performed with less independence and limited complexity; duties will be commensurate with the grade of selected employee. Provides innovative and implementable solutions that are strategic and tactical, and in alignment with the priorities of NASA, and national guidance. Plans, directs, and leads the integration of cross functional scientific programs in various technical disciplines. Implements programs across the breadth of a science portfolio within division strategy, technological, scientific, budgetary, and programmatic constraints. Oversees specific research and analysis programs including the development, solicitation, peer review, and evaluation of scientific merit proposals.
