Loan Specialist (Commercial)

Prepares written loan approval determinations or recommendations for loan approval and submits to approving official as appropriate. Analyzes loan and grant applications for eligibility and conformance with RD statutory regulations, policies, procedures and practices and (inputs data into appropriate automated database systems) Performs comprehensive review and in-depth analyses of credit data to determine credit- worthiness such as income statements, tax assessments and returns, credit reports, cash flow, historical financial information. Conducts field site visits to determine a projects conformance with loan requirements; evaluates/mitigates and/or prepares environmental assessments; reviews key data to ensure multiyear forecasts are realistic.
