About the role
As a your typical work assignments may include: Developing policy statements, regulations, and legislation in anticipation of new trends in state legislation or industry and health professions. Supervising and evaluating studies of current and future developments in regulations, laws, and policies of other federal agencies, state, local and foreign governments and within the regulated industries and health professions. Collaborating with key officials from other federal agencies, private industry executives, and international organizations to develop policies for drug-related issues and problems. Establishing and maintaining liaison between agency and outside stakeholders to gain insight into the potential impact of proposed DEA regulatory changes on the scientific community, general public, law enforcement personnel, and medical community.
