About the role
Consolidate and review budget requests to ensure they comply with policies, procedures, and fund source criteria. Provide financial planning advice to, and prepare a variety of reports for, managers to help in the development and execution of budgets. Reviews, analyzes, and takes action on approved requests for adjustments in allocations, transfer of funds between units and agencies, special funding distributions, and fixed cost assessments. Reviews budget requests and the authorized staffing and funding levels and participates in recommendations for funding and staffing decisions based on objectives and direction. Prepares budget summaries for submission to higher level employees, compiles status of funds, adjusts accounts, and prepares support justifications for reprogramming requests.
