About the role
You will provide advice, training and discretion to other scientists, planners, engineers and other technical specialists. You will ensure quality and consistency for products and services produced by the Environmental Business Line. You will act as the project leader for execution of difficult and highly complex or controversial projects or program initiatives with far-reaching scope and effect. You will serve as the Navy’s regional representative and prepare and conduct briefings for supported commands, elected officials, the public, regulatory agencies, tribal governments, the chain-of-command, and others as needed. You will identify new funding requirements and coordinate with financial managers to ensure new requirements are submitted via the Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution System. You will mentor and direct junior engineers/scientists.
