Supervisory Contract Specialist

Organizational Location: This position is located in the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, within the Office of Contracting and are assigned based on the need of the agency. Provides administrative and technical supervision that is necessary for accomplishing the work of the division such as serving as contracting officer with signatory authority for significant goods and services. Complete authority for all contractual actions and phases of the contracts including initial planning, requirements definition, product development, testing, full production, software support, technical data, training and equipment. Performs administrative and human resource management functions relative to the staff that are supervised, including establishes guidelines and performance expectations for staff members. Resolves informal complaints and grievances; develops work improvement plans, recommending personnel actions as necessary; effect disciplinary measures
