Overview Full Time Position 6:45am-7:15pm Under the direction of a Registered Nurse, sits with patients to provide a safe environment for individuals who need constant observation. The sitter will provide only basic care needed for activities of daily living and diversionary activities. Responsibilities - Constantly observes patients and ensures a safe environment at all times. - Remains with the assigned patient(s) at all times; reports to the RN whenever leaving patient(s). - Keeps RN informed of patient status and reports changes immediately. - Offers bathroom assistance, feeding, liquids/snacks as ordered, repositions patients at least every two (2) hours and provides other assistance to ensure patient safety and comfort at all times. - Cares for patients and family members in a kind and compassionate manner. - Ensures assigned rooms are clean, orderly, free of clutter and ensures that the trash is emptied each shift. - Removes unnecessary or unsafe items from the patien
