Wired and Wireless LAN Admin

Serves as a technical expert within the DLA J64 LAN Management branch concerning network needs, plans, situations and problems. Establishes criteria, supporting or managing projects, troubleshooting hardware/software, reviewing network load, and verifying backups. Act as Network Administrator of the DLA LAN environment and, as such, is responsible to make and keep records of the software/firmware assignments/upgrades necessary to establish or change service to J64 LAN Management equipment. Participates with hardware vendors, system users, managers, Information Assurance Managers and Quality Assurance personnel to develop communications equipment and software specifications. Participates with hardware vendors, system users, managers, Information Assurance Managers and Quality Assurance personnel to develop modifications in support of IT transmissions that facilitate the implementation of agency test plans. Advises program managers on the planning and implementation of advanced IT system
