List repairs on appropriate forms to indicate needed repairs. Prepare reports on recurring equipment failures. Document inventory to maintain accountability of weapons. Inspect small arms to determine serviceability and condition of repairs necessary. Disassemble weapons to diagnose malfunctions. Repair small weapons by replacing obsolete parts and/or assemblies. Observe rules and regulations to ensure all safety and physical security standards are followed. Analyze unit deficiencies to determine required organizational training. Conduct operational checks and final inspections to ensure maintenance has been completed. Suggest corrective actions in accordance with unit policies and procedures. Use hand tools to make repairs and adjustments. Utilize measuring instruments to determine when parts are worn or damaged. Performs two level Preventative Maintenance Checks and Services (PMCS) to include periodic gauging.
