About the role
Specific duties include: The incumbent reports directly to the Deputy Director for Policy and Procedures, Compensation Service. Supervision is primarily coordinating in nature and ensuring uniform application of performance. The incumbent supervises personnel ranging in grade from GS-8 to GS-14, as well as Medical Officers GS-15 in the VA Schedule for Rating Disabilities Program Office. It is usually limited to consultation or general instruction as to objectives. Administrative staff and supervisory functions are subject to minimal review. The incumbent plans and delegates work, establishes priorities, assigns work based on the nature and difficulty of the projects.
