About the role

As a TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST, GS-2130-09, you will support the DMC with the planning and execution of unit movements, and management of military convoys for all services moving within or passing through the state. Provide assistance in reviewing and validating Unit Movement Plans (UMP) and Unit Movement Data (UMD) prior to submission to US Army Western Hemisphere Command (USAWHC). Coordinates with the various State Departments of Transportation (DOT) to determine highway availability, restrictions, and permit requirements. Provide official estimates of post mobilization transportation capabilities and requirements and disseminates information to appropriate military commands. Collect, evaluate, and monitor information necessary to modify the Strategic and State Highway Network Database to meet DOD movement requirements. Review records on the location and type of military, state, and federal transportation assets within the state. Represent the DMC as the alternate representative
