BUDGET & ACCOUNTING TECHNICIAN - MCGUIRE

The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the functional point of contact for the Nonappropriated Fund (NAF) budget analyst performing day-to-day control and management involving the formulation, execution and or analysis of the organization's budget and funding requirements. Manages the operating budget for the NAFs for the 87 Force Support Squadron. Assists managers in the preparation of annual and quarterly budgets. Checks the accuracy and adequacy of budget justification data submitted in support of budget estimates and requests by comparison with source documents. Reviews financial management reports to ensure operations are within approved funding and to detect errors or questionable or un-programmed requirements. Coordinates correction of errors detected with the applicable Force Support Squadron activities. Compares expenditures and identifies conditions involving over or under obligation of funds.
