Privacy

PiNC is a job search tool. We collect the minimum needed to match you to jobs, and every stored field has a delete path.

What we store

  • Account basics — email and display name, provided via Clerk when you sign in.
  • Preferences — desired titles, industries, job types, work style, experience, salary, commute budget. Everything you type into the /profile page.
  • Resume (optional) — the PDF you upload lives in Cloudflare R2. A structured summary (skills, titles, years of experience, short summary) is stored in our database for matching. Raw text is retained as a fallback signal.
  • Saved jobs + muted companies — server copies of the bookmarks you make when signed in.

What we don't do

  • We don't sell your data.
  • We don't share your resume with employers.
  • We don't track you across other sites.
  • We don't use your resume to train models — parsing happens on Anthropic's API under a zero-retention contract.

How we use your data

Preferences and resume signals feed a weighted scorer that ranks the jobs you see on the map. Scoring runs server-side; nothing about your profile is shipped to third parties. Resume parsing uses Anthropic's Claude API.

Retention

Your data lives in our database for as long as your account is active. Resume files in R2 are deleted immediately when you upload a replacement or click delete. If you stop signing in for more than 24 months, we'll email you and delete dormant data unless you reactivate.

Delete everything

One click removes your account row, preferences, resume (both the database summary and the R2 PDF), saved jobs, and muted companies. Because the database cascades on your user id, there's no orphaned data left behind. This can't be undone.
