About the role
This position functions as the Radio and Frequency Spectrum Program Manager for the California-Great Basin Region, providing a program of integrated communications management and oversight of all telecommunications resources, including management of the radio program budget. The position is assigned to the Central Valley Operations Office. Plans and coordinates the integrated field communications system that encompasses over 125 radio frequency authorizations for VHF, UHF, microwave, hydro-meteorological, and geo-synchronous orbital environmental satellite transmitters dispersed throughout the CGB Region. Coordinates the development of design data and functional requirements for field communications and control equipment. Reviews and consolidates Area Office submittals/requests for equipment and/or services. Prepares and reviews program cost estimates and budget justifications.
