FINANCIAL SPECIALIST

This position is located within the Department of the Interior, Bureau of Reclamation, Program and Budget Office, LAKEWOOD, COLORADO or WASHINGTON, D.C. At the full performance level (GS-13) the major duties of this position include, but are not limited to the following: Performs a variety of top-level bureau functions, to include participating in decision-making sessions with top bureau management officials. Advises leadership and program managers on regulatory requirements, financial policies, the interpretation of data, and the importance of accounting data to program operations and improvements. Coordinates the resolution of accounting system problems arising from factors such as changes in legislation, the needs of program managers, Departmental emphasis, and standardization among Interior bureaus.
