About the role
Specific duties include: The incumbent serves as a statistician within the Data Analytics team in Education Service. The primary responsibility is to analyze operational and performance data generated at both the VBA program and field levels. These analyses provide support to and assist the VBA leadership in their decision-making responsibilities. The incumbent also supports the mission of the Department of Veterans Affairs and the Veteran Benefits Administration. The incumbent is a highly skilled statistician responsible for collecting, analyzing and interpreting data; identifying trends and relationships in data; designing processes for data collection and communicating findings to internal and external stakeholders. Performing analysis of complex requirements and resource allocation problems using mathematical, statistical, or advanced modeling techniques. The incumbent is responsible for the overall development, evaluation, coordination, and reporting of multi-discipline assessment
