Supervisory Physician (Palliative Care)

Provide direct patient care, consultative guidance and education to patients, families, caregivers, and healthcare providers in the most challenging end-of-life circumstances for inpatients and outpatient who have a terminal illness or injury. Perform a wide range of medical duties covering consultation for the ICU, Internal Medicine, general and subspecialty surgical services. Examine patients, recommends and evaluates the full range of radiology and laboratory tests, make diagnosis Prescribe appropriate treatments to include intra-thecal, oral, topical, rectal and intravenous medications as well as nursing care, and therapeutic dietary interventions Refer to appropriate specialty consultant only when required for evaluation and/or treatment.
